Great price and great taste

The customer service at this location is horrible. The food is good but the manager is very unprofessional and rude. He makes no efforts to ensure customer orders are correct nor does he give any effort to ensure the customer experience is pleasant.

I love their lamb gyros!!! But I recommend the Gyro Burger which is what I had today which is AWESOME!! (its a beef burger topped with lamb) They have amazing service with delicious food! 10/10 would recommend!!

I don't know who hired Shrek to work the front! This ogre didn't greet us, smile, anything but rushed us through our order. I use to love coming here, but now, my food has been cold and dry lately. I would've given them at least 3 stars, but Igor has ruined the whole experience!

Me and my husband went here for the first time today. The service was great! The person working behind the counter had a smile on his face. We got the chicken tenders and they were absolutely delicious. Must say, their fries were amazing as well. Overall we will be back!

We wanted to try something new. Had heard good things about this, and were not disappointed. We both ordered classic lamb gyro, mine added falafel and partner had Greek salad. Gyro was probably the best I’ve ever eaten, generous portion with good meat and sauce. Service was very good. Will definitely return.

We got a chance to eat here . I must say dont let the interior turn you away. When i walked in, i literally forgot that I was in Alabama, as they really did a good job embodying the essence and culture of New York! The staff were all very kind and food is made fresh !

Recently moved here from another town where I was a regular at a Mediterranean restaurant with the BEST fries, and I was glad to find another one in Montgomery! When I came in a few weeks ago, the staff was super helpful and the food was delicious, with a really generous amount of meat on the gyros too!

Absolutely fire! I didn't know where to eat but healthy was a good call so I went here. The place is clean and well decorated, definitely get the New York vibes. I had the feeling the place is Slavic owned based on my interaction with the helpful young man in front . Already off to a good start, as these folks don't mess around!

Beware!!!!!! I would give zero stars but ordered review won't allow me to. I ordered take out and it was horrible.It's like they put no effort in my order. The lettuce in the salad was wilted and the cucumbers were old. I would have taken it back but I was already home. The gyro was just as bad the veggies were old as well, I will NEVER order from this place again!

Excellent food!! Love the gyro burger and falafel. All their food is prepared well and very tasty. The staff is very nice and polite. They also have a food truck that travels around Montgomery. If you're in Montgomery and don't know where to eat go to NYCGyro and you won't be disappointed.

It was the only place opened in downtown before 11 am. They have places to eat inside but they do not have public bathroom (never seen that before). The food is not very healthy but good enough to get you by while driving through town.

We love NYC Gyro. We usually go to the downtown location, but have been taken advantage of the food truck when it is in our area/neighborhood. Larger menu at their main location, but the food truck has plenty of options in case you have picky eaters. The food servings are always large portions so I have leftovers most of the time but my husband usually finishes his meal. Great staff and always great service at the restaurant and the food truck!! You can find out their weekly food truck locations on Facebook to see if they will be coming to your area. Always love supporting great small businesses in Montgomery and this is one of them that never disappoints!

The food here is pretty awesome. However, the prices are a bit high. Gyros are budget friendly when you travel the Middle East! Not sure why they price them so high here!

Freshly prepared as ordered... Really well seasoned Greek gyros. The veggies are fresh as well... The lamb is amazing. Would have given five stars but it does take a moment for orders to come up, but I'm guessing due to the freshness. So if in a hurry call in and order ahead and you might just give it 5 stars.

BLUF: Great tasting food, a bit on the expensive side.I'm from NYC and usually you'd get same thing for cheaper. Except NYC doesn't give Hummus or the other Mediterranean sides. In Alabama it's rare so Its worth it every once in a while.I got the lamb gyro and lemon pepper wings for 14 dollars. The food tasted great but I wouldn't go there every weekend. My wife got the manager's platter, and the portions are a bit small for 15 dollars. We bought side of mozzarella sticks and onion rings. They were okay, but I liked the onion rings more.

Best Falafel in town, in my opinion. Never had a bad item from the menu.

Yum, Yum! This little place tucked into downtown Montgomery is tiny in size but big in taste! Best Gyros I've had in years! I ordered the New York platter with the lamb, which was tender and well spiced. The warm, fresh pita bread was soft, fluffy and cut into bite-sized pieces you could match with pieces of the meat or dip into the side of hummus. Rounding out the platter was a small Greek salad with tangy dressing, cucumbers, black olives and feta cheese. Bring a big appetite. Great food, itty-bitty dining space. This is definitely on my list of favorite take-out restaurants.

Food Over priced. Stopped by yesterday on lunch to try the Brooklyn Platter. I called my order in. Once I got back to work. I looked in my bag and he gave me 2 burgers and fries. I called to let him know. He offered nothing for my inconvenience. This happened around 7:30pm. He told me to bring the food back up there at 11:30pm (when I got off) to switch it out. Like are you serious. Thumbs down for the poor service. 👎🏾

Food was ok but bread is too small. Falafel fall out of the bread because the pita is very small. Rice was also salty. Price is expensive but I do not mind if food was a little better than it was. Customer service is not how it should be. There is no greeting when you walk in at all. However, chicken over rice was delicious.

My go-to lunch spot. I think I ate there every day for a week once. Those grilled chicken gyros are so good and well portioned. The service is relatively quick as long as you order ahead of time or try to avoid lunch rush hour (even then, it’s not a super long wait).

Fast service and a nice selection of grub. The baba ganoush was excellent.

I went with a group of friends to eat here for lunch. The special gyro burger is really good. It's a meat patty topped with lamb meat. It is delicious! Ordered some chicken wings which was not to my liking because it smelled like chicken however it tasted good. It's a nice place to grab a quick meal. Satisfied!

Just ate here after a long drive up from Mobile. We wanted to get away from our home city since we'd been pretty much stuck there since Covid-19 quarantined everyone. We were happy this place was open on Memorial Day and their service was quick even though most of the restaurants around here were closed. Thanks for feeding us!

Subpar hummus in my order with zero flavor as well as being extremely liquidy. Gyros were alright, but the tzakiki sauce was old or sat in the heat for too long. It was also lacking flavor.

Came here during a trip to Montgomery. You go up to the counter to order and hen sit down. Takes cash and card. I got the chicken gyro with fries. The gyro had a great amount on chicken on it. The pita was fluffy and delicious the the sauce was amazing. The fries were good but pretty average. They had a great drink selection. I got a Bubly water. I think the server was high, though, so he was struggling a little bit. Brought us food that wasn’t ours. We had to ask twice to get a fork for a salad. Overall, great food.

The food is good, the service was great... Various menu available for you at a reasonable price...& its Halal.
